Installation

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store:

    • Go to the Chrome Web Store.

  2. Search for MetaMask:

    • Type "MetaMask" in the search bar and press Enter.

  3. Add MetaMask to Chrome:

    • Find the MetaMask extension in the search results.

    • Click the "Add to Chrome" button.

    • In the pop-up, click "Add Extension" to confirm.

  4. Verify Installation:

  1. Open MetaMask:

    • Click on the MetaMask icon in your Chrome toolbar.

  2. Get Started:

    • Click the "Get Started" button on the MetaMask welcome page.

  3. Create a Wallet:

    • Click "Create a Wallet".

    • Agree to the terms and conditions (or opt-out of data collection if preferred).

  4. Set Up a Password:

    • Create a strong password and click "Create".

  5. Secure Your Wallet:

    • You will be given a Secret Backup Phrase (12 words). This phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if you lose access to your device.

    • Write down the Secret Backup Phrase and store it in a secure place.

    • Confirm the Backup Phrase by selecting the words in the correct order when prompted.

  6. Complete Setup:

    • After confirming the Backup Phrase, your MetaMask wallet setup is complete.

Using MetaMask

  • Accessing the Wallet: Click on the MetaMask icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the wallet interface.
